Who We Are

R&T Electric is an industrial / commercial electrical contractor located in Ohatchee, Alabama that's been in business for 15 years. We were formed in 2002 by Ron McGaha and Thomas Bible as a "two guys and a truck" concept. Since then, we have experienced steady growth. We now employ over 20 electricians and generate over 3 million in annual revenue. 

We have worked hard to develop our reputation for quality and dependability. Our goal with every customer is to develop a long term relationship in order to establish ourselves as a dependable resource to support and improve production and maintenance activities. 

We are licensed in 11 states and specialize in industrial and heavy commercial electrical work. We have years of experience in foundries, automotive manufacturing, and general industry, and we offer multiple services that may benefit you.

We believe strongly in the "team player" concept. Just like safety is everyone’s responsibility, ensuring the owner gets a quality installation is also everyone’s responsibility. Communications is paramount to making this happen. It is our responsibility to ensure the electrical portion of the project meets current nec code. If we see any issues with conduit fill, raceway fill, clearance issues or any electrical safety issues, we will bring this concern to you. If we recognize a mechanical issue, we will bring this to your attention as well.

We are also fully equipped and travel ready. R&T utilizes a fully stocked 20’ enclosed tool/materials trailer when traveling. Tools include a wheeled quad bender, table top threader, and knaack wheeled war wagon (fully stocked with hand tools and dies). This allows quick mobilization inside the plant, directly to the site of construction. Over $25,000 in materials are stocked primarily for rigid conduit installations.

Conduit and fittings up to 2”, including all conduit bodies and fs boxes, all straps and clamps (beam, parallel, strut, window, edge, right angle ), unistrut, strut feet, liquidtight conduit and fittings, control wire, cat5e, shielded cable, sf2, srml, thermocouple wire type j & k. Most importantly, we bring a 120 compartment hardware bin for nuts, bolts and washers. This virtually eliminates the need for a “parts runner” to spend 80% of his time chasing parts.
